DYNAMICS OF FAITH Pt.1

WHAT IS FAITH?

I define faith as believing God's word, speaking God's word and acting on God's word in the face of contrary circumstances.

These three things are essential components of faith. What some people have is mental assent and they call it faith.

Faith is not faith until it is rooted in God's word. The word of God is the source of the faith that works.

I have ministered severally to people trusting God for one thing or the other. Some received their desired results while others did not.

Same applies to cases of healing and miracles. I noticed that it is easier ministering to those who understand the principles of faith and its dynamics.

From my little experience, preachers should teach how faith works and how believers can receive from God with their word-based faith.

If you want to minister healing to people, preach faith along the lines of healing, you'll see results.

Virtually all that came to Jesus received their miracles or healing by faith. Jesus was fond of saying: "Be it unto you according to your faith" (Matt9:29).

If faith wasn't important, Jesus wouldn't have stressed it.

If you want to build your faith to become solid and strong, do not build it around 'things' or medium. When medium is absent, what would happen to you?

Do not build it around your 'papa' or 'G.O.' but only on God's infallible and innerant word.

The psalmist says, "For ever, O LORD, Thy word Is settled in heaven"(Psalm 119:89 KJV). God's word is settled in heaven forever, nothing on earth can unsettle it not even your situation or present circumstances.

The psalmist says, "The words of the LORD are pure words: As silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times"( Psalms 12:6 KJV).

God's word has eternal integrity Apostle Peter said, "We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts" (2 Peter 1:19 KJV).

No other prophetic declaration is as sure as is the written word of God. If anyone sees anything contrary to what is written in the word of God against your life, stand on the written word to cancel the fulfilment of negative prophecies. Why? The written word is a more sure word of prophecy.

The word of God in your heart and mouth will put above life's challenges.

When you're faced with the challenges of life, search out relevant scriptures and begin to meditate on them till faith is built up in you like an edifice.

Let that word be your confession even in face of contrary circumstances.
