SIX THINGS TO OFFER UNTO GOD IN THE NEW YEAR PT 2

Joshua 3:5 *Consecrate yourselves for the Lord is about to do amazing things among you*

LORD TAKE MY HAND AND MY FEET

In the year 1996, Don Moen released a song titled: Lord I offer My Life To You. If you read the lyrics of that song, you'll see some similarities with Frances Ridely Havergal's hymn of consecration.

Another thing God expect us to offer unto him is our hands and feet. Hands symbolizes work or service while our feet is symbolic of movement or progress. Both needs to be offered unto God.

Often, skill is associated with our hands. God's expectation of you and me is that we use our skill for his service. You are a stakeholder in your father's kingdom. You cannot afford to look on without contributing your quota.

In Exodus 36:1-2, the bible says, “The Lord has gifted Bezalel, Oholiab, and the other skilled craftsmen with wisdom and ability to perform any task involved in building the sanctuary. Let them construct and furnish the Tabernacle, just as the Lord has commanded.” [2] So Moses summoned Bezalel and Oholiab and all the others who were specially gifted by the Lord and were eager to get to work"( NLT).

God gave Bezalel and Oholiab skill to wrought great craft with their hands in expectation that they'll use it to contribute their quota to the building of the temple. These guys could have taken advantage of their skills to enrich themselves and not care but they decided to use it for the Lord. There is something your hands can do for the Lord.

Why will you sit idle in church for 365 days doing nothing despite your God-given abilities and endowment? I want you to make a fresh decision to offer your hands to the Lord this year.

As regards your feet, the Lord has sent you and me to go preach the gospel to every creature. This assignment is not for some but for all. It is not for missionaries and evangelists only, it is for all. It is not enough to support missionaries, you are also commanded to go out and preach the gospel.

Mark 16:15 says,  "And then he told them, “Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone" ( NLT).

If we'll obey the "Go Ye" command, our feet must be offered unto the Lord. That is when we'll be able to move out of our comfort zones for the Lord.

The Lord is looking for men who will go to the field of souls for him. You have stayed too long in your comfort zone.  You feet will not become beautiful until they are offered unto the Lord.

Romans 10:15, says "How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!"

Action Point:

Father, take my hands, use it for for your service. Take my feet, use it in spreading the goodnews in Jesus name.
