During world war II, there was serious commotion in a particular town where a Christian woman lived. Everyone around her noticed that she wasn't perturbed especially when the armed forces invaded and she doesn't keep vigils like others do. When she was confronted, she told them God neither slumber nor sleep so there's no need for two people to be awake.
During that time of trouble, she took God at his word and she was delivered from the trouble of her day. We are in the end time, a time where pestilence, famine, sword, war, natural disasters&mysterious happenings keep making the headlines.
The scripture in Matt 24 has declared that these things must happen at the end of times, we can't pray them to a halt, we can only reduce them or better still stay preserved through them with our prayers.
You don't fight certain prophecies, the world won't get better until the millenium when Christ will be the ultimate ruler. In some nations of the world, the sword is killing daily, terrorism seems to be penetrating daily but the good news is that before we enter the millenial reign of Christ, God's word has promised total deliverance & preservation for his Children in the now.
