By God's grace, I am prvileged to operate in the power gifts. I have seen awesome wonders by God during our crusade programs.
In one of the crusades, I was led by God to tell all the women in attendance that their scarfs had received the anointing.
The next day, several people testified about how they laid their scarfs on sick people. One shocking testimony was that of a woman who laid her scarf on a machine/ engine that wasn't working. After she did, the machine started working. Even inanimate objects responded to God's power.
In the same crusade, a young man who had battled insanity fell under power and was cured. That was a miracle that astonished everyone present that say.
God is still performing wonders and displaying his power in the nations. He has been doing it before, he is still doing it and will continue to do it.
Hebrews 13:8 says, "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever".
One major reason God still performs wonders is to prove the Lordship of Christ and to make people believe in him. The world may not believe that Christ is alive until they see miracles. It is for evangelistic purposes.
For us as believers, miracles are reaffirmation of God's power and love for us. It shows how much God is interested in making our lives better.
All over the world, God is performing wonders even in places and among peoples you least expect. Our duty is to cooperate with him in this and ensure we spread his power around as his agents.
Don't be afraid to lay hands on the sick, cast out devils and perform miracles. These are the duties of every believer not for professional preachers alone. There are places a preacher will never get to but lay men and women in church can carry God's power to such places and display it.
Mark 16:17-18 says, "These miraculous signs will accompany those who believe: They will cast out demons in my name, and they will speak in new languages. [18] They will be able to handle snakes with safety, and if they drink anything poisonous, it won’t hurt them. They will be able to place their hands on the sick, and they will be healed"( NLT).
