LOVE ASSASSIN

Pastoring has exposed me to issues and cases that a normal or regular person wouldn't have seen or heard. Somehow, the numerous weird marital issues made me conclude that some persons are not interested in making their marriages work. Hence, I call such persons 'Love Assassins'.

An assassin is a killer. Most times, they are hired to kill. Some persons are married to love assassins. This category of persons do not know how to love and cannot receive love. Anyone who marries a love assassin will only struggle to love and keep the marital flames burning.

I have seen anointed men and women who are love assassins. They are ruining their marriages with pride, stubborness and intolerance.

Most love assassins do not know they carry around traits and habits that kill love. They have accepted certain negative attitudes and traits as normal. When you confront them, they are quick to say 'that's just me, I can't change'.

For instance, an intolerant and fastidious person will assassinate love. Sustaining love in marriage requires tolerance. A wise man said you have to be wise to marry right but you must be stupid If you want to remain in marriage. Intolerant and fastidious people don't always have good homes.

A narccistic, selfish and impatient person will kill love in marriage. Oftentimes, the reason most marriages have issues can be attributed to the several internal issues and character flaws people refuse to deal with. Marital bliss is predictable by observing the character, values and attitudes of people.

Some persons are disasters waiting to happen in marriage because they carry around in them traits that can kill love and murder it in cold blood. All the works of the flesh unchecked in man's life will assassinate love in marriage.

Dearest, If your marriage has been stormy and chaotic, you may need to investigate the assassin. It might be you.

Action point

Ask your spouse to give you a honest evaluation of your character and make a decision to turn a new leaf.
