Ezekiel 3:18 When I say to a wicked person, 'You will surely die,' and you do not warn them or speak out to dissuade them from their evil ways in order to save their life, that wicked person will die for their sin, and I will hold you accountable for their blood.NIV
One morning in the university while it was still dark, I was led to do morning cry. I told my room mate to join me. I preached in front of a block while he chose another block. The anointing to preach was strong upon me that morning and I knew God sent me to someone but I did not know the exact person.
When the day became bright, I was lying on my bed when I suddenly heard some angry guys walking towards my room. They demanded to know who preached in the front of their block. I was looking at them while my roommate was pressing his cloth. The young man that led others to my room picked the hot pressing iron my roommate was using. As he was about to stamp it on his body, I told him I was the one that preached.
From their looks and mannerism, I suspected they were cultists. They warned me not to preach again in their block. Their leader told me he is a brother to the wife of a pastor in a leading Pentecostal church. It was obvious he didn't understand salvation. Months after that incident, he died.
When I heard the news of his sudden death, I was not happy because I wasn't sure of his last moments. Again, I perceived he was the person God sent me to that very morning. Probably, I preached the last sermon on repentance to him. Unfortunately, he died. However, I played my part by yielding to the prompting of the Holy Spirit.
If i didnt obey God that morning, his blood would be required from my hands. God will require the blood of men from our hands if we fail to preach the gospel. There are people who are already in their last hours.
God is keeping them so they can hear and decide their eternal destination finally. You must yield to the promptings of the Holy Spirit any time he is telling you to preach. You never can tell what will happen to those God has sent you to preach to. Don't joke with the promptings to share the gospel.
Father, I receive the grace to preach the gospel In Jesus name. Amen
