CHILDREN, LET'S PRAY

April 22, 2014 · Lanre Oyeleke · 2 views

Psalm8:2- " Out of the mouth of babes and nursing infants You have ordained strength,..."

When I was young, My mum was fond of calling me and my siblings to pray for her on issues she's prayed about for long, whenever we step in to pray,(though not good with words then) speedy answers came. One of my cousins also involve me in praying for him when I was much younger, though he was carnal, he still got answers anyway.

There's a story told me by my mum that on a certain day, a market in our neighbourhood was burning and I started praying on the balcony of my aunty's house that rain should fall so that the fire would be extinguished and rain started almost immediately and I became the cynosure of all eyes around.

Children have an unwavering faith and there's a deposit of divine strength in them because of their innocence. When you run into trouble, get your kids to pray for you and you'll see quick result. Jesus knew this mystery about children, he encouraged us not to cast them away.

Action point

- Only children raised in the way of the LORD like Samuel and Jesus can manifest such divine deposits, train your children in the way of the Lord.
