THE FRUIT OF YOUR SALVATION IS IMPORTANT

February 11, 2026 · Projectsave International

Philippians 1:11 *May you always be filled with the fruit of your salvation—the righteous character produced in your life by Jesus Christ—for this will bring much glory and praise to God*. NLT

In Paul's prayer for the Philippians, he desired that they know what matters to God so that they can live a pure and blameless life until the day of Christ's return. What a desire!

Philippians 1:10 For I want you to understand what really matters, so that you may live pure and blameless lives until the day of Christ’s return. NLT

It goes to show that If we don't understand the things that matter to God, we'll be trapped in impurity and vain life.

To know what matters to God, Paul prayed saying, "May you always be filled with the fruit of your salvation—the righteous character produced in your life by Jesus Christ—for this will bring much glory and praise to God"(Philippians 1:11 NLT).

Every farmer is concerned about getting a bountiful harvest from his/ her farmland. I don't know if there's any farmer whose desire is to labour and not get anything in return.

Farming is very hard. Even mechanized farming is not easy especially If a large expanse of land is to be cultivated. The goal of farming is fruitful harvest.

God's desire for every believer is fruitfulness. He want our lives to bear fruit: "You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last—and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you" ( John 15:26).

The fruit a believer should produce is the fruit of salvation, that righteous character that shows that we have encountered Jesus. Actually, that's the pointer to the fact that we are saved.

A man might be gifted. His life and ministry may be filled with raw manifestations but when the fruit is lacking, he'll make a mess of the gift. The absence of the fruit makes the gift loose value.

I see people spend time fasting and praying for the gift. Some of those you'll find on the mountain are there looking for power. How many times have we tarried in God's presence because we want to bear fruit?

That fruit of salvation is what we know as the fruit of the Spirit( Galatians 5:22-23). The man whose life bears fruit is the man that will be pleasing and blameless before God. We need to submit our lives to be cultivated by God.

How can we bear fruit? How can our lives be fruitful and pleasing to the Lord? The answer to that question is simple. Christ is the vine, we are the branches. If any man abide in Christ, he will bear fruit.

Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing( John 15:4-5 KJV).
