One temptation that comes with using social media is the temptation to share trending stories and post them everywhere. That is how to know busy bodies.

What most people do not know is that sensational news and trends is the way some people draw traffic to their page. Doing this, they make more money and cash out heavily as they feed people with their unfounded stories.

In fact, If you want to know the latest gossip in town, just visit the page of some believers, you'll find it there. They have time and energy to spread and analyse scandals especially about men of God instead of mouring for these men.

Some trending news are not honourable, they shouldn't be shared in the public. Satan takes the glory when we spread what he is doing especially within the church body.

That a news is trending online doesn't make it authentic. Sometimes, stories are fabricated to generate traffic online or for mischief. Quite a number of people are yet to realize this and they fall for it.

These mischiefs makers are masters at cutting and joining videos so as to make a man to be quoted out of context. In fact, they do this to preachers a lot. A number of things some preachers were accused of saying are actually a result of what I described to you.

It is unfortunate that some christians aren't smart to know this. They jump on these things and make it trend. Some of us talk about missions and share edifying posts online. Hardly will you find someone who will repost or share but the moment Satan releases his content, some believers share it massively. Why should a believer share sex scenes released by a blackmailer?

As a child of God, If anything should trend on your page, it should be something edifying and graceful. Make what is worth sharing trend and not just some sensational news making the rounds.  

Let me close with the counsel of Paul: "And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise"( Philippians 4:8 NLT).
