INTENTIONAL LIVING Pt.10

Matthew 25:15 To one he gave five talents,[b] to another two, to another one, to each according to his ability. Then he went away. 16 He who had received the five talents went at once and traded with them, and he made five talents more. ESV

BE INTENTIONAL ABOUT ACQUIRING FINANCIAL INTELLIGENCE (B)

I have been in meetings where we prayed for money as though God will rain money down from heaven.

Not many preachers taught us that God doesn’t send money from heaven. What he gives is the wisdom or idea for wealth creation.

He gives us a seed and expect us to turn it around to produce a bountiful harvest first for his kingdom and for our own benefit.

The parable of talent has a financial lesson imbued in it. One major financial lesson learnt is that we must learn to multiply our income.

The man that was given 5 talent traded with it and made double likewise the man that received two talent. In the school of financial intelligence, income multiplication is another key thing that we all must learn about.

Making money is not enough but knowing how to multiply it legally is the hall mark of true financial intelligence.

The difference between the poor and the rich is what they do with money. The poor man has a consumer mentality, the average/middle class only pay bills with money but the rich man think of ways to multiply money.

The poor man may have more money than the rich but it is only temporary. The rich may have lesser but only for a while. The former consumes the latter multiply through viable investments.

That is where trade and investment comes in. Every income carries the potential for multiplication.

This year, there must be a conscious plan to multiply your income.

You’ll agree with me that your salary has never been enough especially now that inflation has hit double digit and cost of commodities has risen.

Your little income has the potential for multiplication If you trade with it. Financial intelligence demands that you look inwards and ask yourself, “what can I do to increase my earning capacity”?

If you have a skill that can be used to render services in exchange for money, just deploy it right away.

It is no crime to be a uber driver on part time while you’re still on your white collar job. Have you thought about after work or weekend income opportunities?

So many of such opportunities abound. Let down your pride and throw shame to the dust bin. You need money.

I know a woman whose husband, a master degree holder joined her ‘chin chin’ selling business. Today, they have a big confectionery business with many under their employ.

Multiply your income by trading with it. Be intentional about this and it’ll pay off later in the year.

CONFESSION: My eyes are open to see income multiplying opportunities by the power of the Spirit In Jesus name.
