DON’T PRETEND, ASK FOR IT

Matthew 7:7 “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you ( ESV).

One cool evening, my daughter was busy with her private tutor in the living room while I was enjoying avocado pear and bread. I sat somewhere close to her but she backed me. That evening, she was so serious with her work while I was also busy enjoying my nutritious pear and bread.

I finished the meal and went outside to do something. When I returned and got to the door, something unusual happened. My daughter locked me outside and she went to her mom. I was surprised because whenever I’m returning home, she’s always the first to open the door for me in company of her brothers. When I entered, I saw that she was moody and I began to question why she didn’t open the door for me.

I almost spanked her but her tutor said she was angry with me because I ate all the pear and bread and didn’t give her anything to eat. She burst into tears right there because she felt I wasn’t considerate. Whenever I’m eating avocado pear, we eat together but on that very day, she pretended as though she doesn’t care. She was so serious with what she was doing. She didn’t ask. If she had paused to ask me to reserve some for her, I would.

Hey! God is your father. Don’t pretend as If you’re not in need of that very thing you desire, go ahead and ask. I am one of those who believe you can ask God for anything you need as long as it is a genuine need that will serve eternal purpose. You can ask for ANYTHING in my name, and I will do it, so that the Son can bring glory to the Father. Yes, ASK ME FOR ANYTHING IN MY NAME, and I will do it! (John 14:13‭-‬14 NLT).

Don’t get mad at God and envious of others because your desires aren’t met. Desires exist in the realm of wishes, it can only become reality until we make them our request. Don’t be shy to ask from God whatever you desire. I’ve heard ‘funny’ testimonies about how God granted requests that seemed not to make sense. Who says God can’t answer yours?

Romans 8:32 says, “He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us ALL THINGS?( ESV).

Whatever you know is good for your life, family, ministry, career and business, ask God to grant them unto you. Don’t admire them from afar neither should you react when others have what you desire. Faith is the factor for taking delivery of anything you ask: “I tell you, you can pray for anything, and if you believe that you’ve received it, it will be yours”( Mark 11:24 NLT).

Ask now!

PRAYER: Father, I ask that you grant(….mention what you want) In Jesus name.
