Genesis 25:22-23 But the children struggled together within her; and she said, “If it is so, why then am I this way?” So she went to inquire of the LORD. The LORD said to her, “Two nations are in your womb; And two peoples will be separated from your body; And one people shall be stronger than the other; And the older shall serve the younger.”
While growing up, my mom reminded me severally that i’m a man of God. There was a time I strayed but her words didn’t leave me because she spoke my destiny into existence when my life didn’t look like it.
She raised me along that line and provided all the support needed. While in the seminary, I took a course titled “New Testament Greek”. Surprisingly, she taught me Greek alphabets as a teenager.
When I started learning Greek, the alphabet didn’t sound new to me because she taught me at a time I didn’t know I’ll be training for bible scholarship. Today, I have become what she said long ago, “Man of God”. That’s no coincidence
Another thing I found in my bible about parenting is that parents can inquire from God about the purpose of their seeds and pray it into reality. Even If God didn’t reveal it to you, you can prayerfully position them to discover their purpose.
When Rebecca was pregnant, she went to inquire from God what the destinies of the babies in her womb would be. Now, that may sound unfamiliar but it is there for us to read as an example.
People get pregnant every day and it is becoming a sport for some not minding what the seed in them would become. At delivery, we don’t just give birth to a child but we are bringing forth a carrier of destiny.
What we fail to understand about the relationship between Rebecca, Jacob&Esau is that Rebecca loved Jacob for his destiny.
We cannot adjudge her to be totally wrong to have helped Jacob receive the patriarchal blessings from Isaac. This is because she knew the mind of God concerning Jacob and she ensured all that was necessary for him to become what God intended of him was available( Patriachal blessings of Isaac inclusive).
Isaac loved Esau because of food and his hunting skills but Rebecca loved Jacob because of his destiny. If you’re not ready to nuture your seeds into destiny, please don’t get pregnant.
The world has seen alot of miscreants, we shouldn’t add more. Be ready to pay the price for the destinies of your children. Terrorists did not fall from heaven. They were born into a family, raised and released into the world. Satan perverted and diverted them from their true destiny.
Imagine doing global evangelism with thesane zeal terrorists use in bombing people and hijacking planes. We may not have unreached peoples again If we have men with that type of zeal. What type of child(ren) do you want to release into the world for us?
Even if God didn’t give you a revelation about their purpose in life, just spend enough time in prayers for your children so as to preserve them for God’s assignment believing that at the right time, they’ll discover it.
*ACTION:* You need to spend quality time in prayer to help preserve the destiny of your children.
