INTENTIONAL LIVING Pt.16

Gen13:14 And the Lord said unto Abram, after that Lot was separated from him, Lift up now thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art northward, and southward, and eastward, and westward. KJV

BE INTENTIONAL ABOUT THE QUALITY& PURSUIT OF YOUR VISION

My mentor told us about a wealthy man who decided to give $1,000, 000 to a worthy cause in the kingdom. He won a very big contract and he felt a worthy Gospel vision must benefit from the profit made.

He approached his Pastor and asked to know what he would do If the church receives a million dollar donation. His pastor replied by saying, “I’ll fix the toilets”.

The rich man was curious to know If that was all the Pastor had in mind to do with $1,000,000. The Pastor couldn’t find a meaningful use for that huge donation.

This rich man asked to know what the cost of fixing the toilets was. He handed the token needed for fixing toilet to the Pastor.

This rich man kept his $1,000,000. He was driving round town one day, he over heard another Pastor talking about their plans to organize a city-wide crusade that will harvest souls and build another church auditorium with a larger capacity to contain both old and incoming members. Their vision was evangelistic and qualitative for what $1,000,000 can push.

The rich man saw that as a worthy cause worth supporting. He approached the Pastor of that church and handed over the $1,000,000 to the church for the crusade and new church auditorium. This is no fiction. It is a real event that happened.

I picked a few lessons from that story. The quality of your vision determines the quality and quantity of resources that will flow towards you.
Be intentional about casting and pursuit of quality vision. It is no vision If it is not bigger than you so that you’ll keep trusting God for its fulfilment. A viable vision requires the help of God for its fulfilment.

The man that had a toilet-size vision got the resources for toilet repairs. The man that had a city-wide vision got the resources for his vision.

The quality of your vision determines the quality of resources that will flow towards it. This year, expand your vision. You can shape your year by re accessing your vision, the scope and coverage, and what is needed to actualize it.

Per adventure you’re done with a phase in your vision, feel free to catch another vision and run with it except you’re done with your assignment. In every vision there are visions. Those in ministry understand that very well.

Paul’s vision to see the Gentile world saved was no small vision. He was intentional about the pursuit of that vision. Eventually, he reached the whole Asia minor.

With God, no vision is small. The problem we have is with small minds who can’t see farther. It is always a proposition of “As far as your eyes can see”.

Even If God’s vision for your life is to be a minister in a village, a qualitative vision will make eternal impact in that village and even city dwellers may come towards the brightness of your rising. Ask John the Baptist.

He was the voice of one crying in the wilderness but the bible says, “People from Jerusalem and from all of Judea and all over the Jordan Valley went out to see and hear John”( Mt 3:5).

Jesus said about him, “He was a burning and a shining light: and ye were willing for a season to rejoice in his light”( John 5:35).

Location is not the problem but the quality and intentionality engaged in the pursuit of the vision.

ACTION POINT: Be intentional about the quality and pursuit of that vision.
N:B Start the journey of 2023 with God as we fast and pray from January 2nd-Jan 31st (30 days). Let’s launch the year by waiting on God.
