PRAYER OF ENQUIRY
I know a sister whose family experienced troubles in succession especially her brother who had serious health issues. Prayer of enquiry began and God spoke through his servant to them.
God revealed that their mum was involved in marine ritual when she was pregnant of that young man and that was how he entered into bondage. When she was confronted with this revelation, she confirmed it to be true. The Holy Spirit is always accurate.
Sometimes, demons use wrong actions as legal grounds to operate freely in the lives of people. She defiled the foundation of that young man by running after other gods.
Idolatry brings defilement. Psalms 16:4 says, “Their sorrows shall be multiplied that hasten after another god: Their drink offerings of blood will I not offer, Nor take up their names into my lips”(KJV).
Sometimes, in spiritual warfare, the kinds of revelations that comes in the heat of prayers is sometimes unimaginable. I still laugh at those who scorn spiritual mysteries and warfare such as this. There are secrets known to God only. In his sovereignty, he reveal some to his children at times.
Deuteronomy 29:29 says, “The secret things belong unto the LORD our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law” (KJV).
Foundational defilement cannot be corrected until God reveal what is wrong and how to correct it. If after praying, fasting and seeking counsel on certain issues and it seems nothing is changing, start asking questions from the Lord.The things God will reveal may be shocking.
I learnt something from Kenneth E.Hagin of blessed memory. He said that after praying for someone severally and he doesn’t see any change, he’ll switch to praying the prayer of enquiries to know the root cause of the problem and the way out.
In the first part of this series, I told you about a church where pastors impregnated ladies in succession. The youths decided to enquire from God and something strange was revealed to them.
Who could have thought that the foundation of the church’s problem had something to do with the founder of the church and the solution required a prophetic action as they were instructed? The natural mind wouldn’t have thought in that direction.
We have an advantage over life’s challenges, that’s the Holy Spirit. I believe there’s nothing God cannot fix or correct under grace. No matter how bad the foundation is, God can correct it if the righteous can pray the right prayers.
When the battles seems tough and unsolvable, pray the prayer of enquiry. The righteous need to ask the Holy Spirit what went wrong foundationally and ask for the way out.
Jeremiah 33:3 says, “Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not”.
Start asking questions from the Spirit of God.
PRAYER: Spirit of God, you know all things. Reveal to me what I need to know in Jesus name.
