2 Thessalonians2:2,“Don’t be so easily shaken or alarmed by those who say that the day of the Lord has already begun. Don’t believe them, even if they claim to have had a spiritual vision, a revelation, or a letter supposedly from us. 3 Don’t be fooled by what they say. For that day will not come until there is a great rebellion against God and the man of lawlessness is revealed—the one who brings destruction.” (NLT)
I want us to know that the anti-Christ has not been revealed yet. Contrary to many claims in town that we are already running a government of the anti-Christ either because of certain policies they perceive to have the antecedents of the anti-Christ type of leadership. However, there is nowhere in the bible where we were told that the anti-Christ would surface before the rapture.
After the rapture, there would be a worldwide confusion that will cause many world leaders to be in search of a solution because the rapture would be a strange event that will cause a global stir and catastrophe. The anti-Christ will surface as a remedy. He would be a man of uncommon intelligence and every world leader would align with him hence making him a world leader. He has endowments that he can use to convince the world and command followership (2 Thessalonians 2:3-10). He is regarded as the man of sin.
At the start of his reign (which would last a seven year period), he would make a covenant of peace with Israel. After 3 and half years, he would break the covenant of peace with the Jews and he would commit the abomination that causes desolation. This abomination is that he would exalt himself above God and demand that people worship him (Daniel 9:27; Matthew 24:15; 2 Thessalonians 2:4). He would demand everyone to accept the mark ‘666’, which without it, no man will buy or sell. At the last half of the seven year tribulation period, the anti-Christ would persecute Israel and the saints by wars, crusades, massacres, inquisitions, and persecutions of all kinds. Jeremiah 30:7; Daniel 7:25, Matthew 24:15, Revelations 12:6,13, 17.
Your responsibility as a believer is not to get into argument with anyone on this matter, just be ready for the coming of the Lord. The anti-Christ is not yet unveiled. The rapture would take place before he is revealed, 2Thessalonians2:7.
