Romans 4:17 (As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were. KJV
INCUBATE YOUR FAITH
Yongi Choo told the story of how he was poor when he started out in ministry.
He asked God to provide a bicycle, desk and chair for him. He specified the exact thing he wanted. He testified in church that he had received all those things.
Some of his members decided to visit him to verify If his testimony was true. When they got home, they saw nothing.
He told them that he was pregnant of those things. They laughed and thought he was out of his mind. He told them that every pregnancy needed time before delivery.
He got the exact type of items he requested from God after some time.
Sometimes, faith requires a gestation period for it to deliver physical result. The result faith produces is not instant at all times. Abraham, the faith waited for the result of his faith for decades.
Faith is not another magic formula. Certain processes are involved before it produces result. Learning to wait patiently on God in faith is one virtue we must cultivate.
Hebrews 6:12 says, “We do not want you to become lazy, but to imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised”( NIV).
You must keep doing two things: calling those things which be not as though they were( consistent faith confession) and believing you received when you prayed coupled with thanksgiving. That’s how to incubate your faith.
After you pray and believe you received, the confession of your mouth must be as though you have seen what you’re asking for and the believe of your heart must be intact.
The problem we have often is that sometimes, when we come out of a meeting where our faith is stirred, we don’t know how to maintain that till we see result.
Sometimes, it is as If our faith jumped out after those faith lifting services. Next time, just keep incubating that faith with scriptures in your mouth.
Your life will go in the direction of your words. What is it you’ve asked God for?
Believe you have received them by faith and keep incubating them.
CONFESSION: Father, i thank you because the finished work of Christ has delivered unto me all i need for life and godliness. Halleluyah!!!
